Lake District on the doorstep
The Tranquil Otter is located just slightly north of the UNESCO World Heritage Lake District National Park. Close enough to access it in a short drive and enjoy all its glories but being on the outside edge means you can get away from the crowds and retreat back to your own lake view from your Tranquil Otter lodge.
UNESCO World Heritage status was awarded in July 2017, making it now part of a special family of iconic places across the planet, like the Taj Mahal, Machu Picchu, Easter Island, the Barrier Reef, the Grand Canyon and many other world famous locations.
